What happens when a New York City gal meets a Portland, Oregon boy in a little, not even a town, on the Southern Coast of Oregon? They fall in love with each other, they fall in love with Agness, OR and they decide to start a business to support all that love.

The business? A small country store complete with the treasures of Oregon crafting, a garden & cafe and the best milkshakes this side of Guam...oK...a little bragging!

Old Agness Store®️ became a little slice of Heaven in Agness that tourists from all over the world found delicious, comforting and relaxing. It was a big change for Michele, concert pianist, composer, teacher and avid baker as well as Steve an entrepreneur himself, who decided it was the mountain man life for him. Change came again in 2017! Old Agness Store®️ shut down and changed course and Steve and Michele decided to launch www.OldAgnessStore.com!!

Many, many months after that, Steve and Michele learned just how to run a .com and realized their beloved Oregon product lines were just not garnering any interest.

So Shift Gears! Steve applied his love of  gardening and peppers to selling Hot Sauces, Mild Sauces, Salsas, Pepper Jellies, Powders, Oils,...all Small Batch and all only the best. Michele added her Brownies, Blondies and Bars to the mix made with only the finest Gluten Free Ingredients available.

All seemed to be going reasonably well until one day Steve said “what if we add peppers to the Brownies?”.... and then it happened: OldAgnessStore.com - Bakery and Spice Shop Featuring Brownies, Blondies and Bars, which included spicy varieties and a Small Batch Pepper Product Line from the US, Canada and Great Britain.

Flash forward to 2022 and the success of the Berlant’s online store becomes the foundation for a NEW STORE FRONT  in GOLD BEACH, OREGON on APRIL 15, 2022! We are located at 29672 Stewart Street in a Big Red Barn!!

Old Agness Store Bakery and Spice Shop is now featuring Luscious Brownies, Blondies and Bars and other Desserts, Specialty Breads, Soups a la Steve, Local Cheese and Charcuterie, Condiments and Small Batch Pepper Products!
